Rep Davis (R-VA 11) - We present to you your arse...

WaPo columnist Dana Milbank has the story today of what it looks like when a dubya enabler ventures into the reality based world...

'For a Man in the Middle on Iraq, Church Provides No Sanctuary' tells the tale of when Congressman Tom Davis appeared at the Accotink Unitarian Universalist Church to meet with constituents and other citizens.

Click this link to see the quintessential picture of a dubya enabler in the real world. (I would have posted it but I do not know the rules governing the use of copyrighted images).

I recommend the article as I imagine that the reception he received is representative of that which repugs are finding all over our great country.

This should whet your appetite:

The conservative Web site Free Republic, getting wind of yesterday's meeting by what it called the antiwar "moonbats," urged its patrons to attend and "inject a little verbal calcium into [Davis's] backbone." But the Freepers, as they call themselves, didn't show up, leaving Davis (dubbed a RINO, Republican in name only, by conservatives) free to pander to the moonbats.

Milbank also points out the obvious if Warner decides to retire and Davis runs for his Senate seat:

Davis needn't worry much about the antiwar crowd if he opts to keep his relatively safe seat in the House. But if Sen. John Warner (R) retires and Davis runs for the Senate, he'll need to win over Virginia voters who last year abandoned Republican George Allen for Democrat Jim Webb. And this is tricky business.

This is the repugs great hope to hold on to the remaining Senate seat if Warner retires? IMHO, Davis should worry greatly about the 'antiwar crowd' even if he is only running for his own seat next year.
